With so much going on within the Isle of Purbeck, no two days are ever the same. Take the opportunity to use Woodyhyde as a home-base to relax or participate in some of the other activities around.

The campsite is a great base for your holiday with the great beaches of Studland and Swanage close by with miles of golden sand to relax or play on!

Ideally situated for people who also enjoy a more active break, there are a numerous walks in and around the Purbeck countryside or along the magnificent Jurassic coastline making use of the popular South West Coast Path.

Other activities within easy reach include boating, diving, riding, fishing and cycling.

Fancy a family day out then you could take a trip on the Swanage Railway which runs past the front of the campsite. You can even catch the train at Harmans Cross which is just a 20 minute walk from the site.

Maybe visit historical Corfe Castle or how about the interesting Monkey World Centre or the Tank Museum. Need to keep the kids entertained  - visit nearby Putlake Adventure Farm.

For the foody the area has a wealth of fantastic local producers , Farmers markets and a host of cafes and restaurants using great local ingredients.

If you fancy a drink and a bite to eat after an exciting, tiring day out then visit the local village of Langton Matravers to sample the local ales and hospitality of the Kings ArmsScott Armsthe Square and Compass or the Ship Inn public houses.

During the summer there are many special events taking place throughout Purbeck and the surrounding areas.
